A joy to see rainbow first thing in the morning. I haven't seen a
rainbow which seemed to be in the midst of the buildings. A joy indeed to
see, especially the morning after experiencing power outage the whole night
before. (Photo taken from our hotel room in Honolulu.)

My concept for this shot:
1) Yellow is a joyful color to me.
2) I wanted to do something a little off-beat. I found this product called JOY, liked it's message and decided to incorporate it into the shot.
3) Tilted upwards and surrounded with flowers to show JOY as uplifting and organic -- even though this is dish soap.
Trademarks and anything non-essential to the concept removed using PS.

"Finding Nemo" is a fun movie with a happy ending.
This is a favorite character of mine from the movie because he (she??) is joyful all the time.
Shot inside a lighting tent with one light and one silver reflector.
I took this at Ghost Ranch, NM, on a trip in late Nov. 3 photos are stitched to create a panorama. A late afternoon squall is dispersing and I was hoping for a rainbow. However, this image shows the striking afternoon light and lively skies of the NM desert landscape.
This shot was taken at the Montage Resort in Laguna Beach a few days after Thanksgiving. I was taking Christmas card portraits for a young couple and their 8-month old son. The entire time with them was full of joy and laughter but this is one of my favorite shots. You can see that they are enJOYing their cutie-pie very much.
